The maintenance team that does the jobs that others won’t is the perfect partnership for Out There Branding.
Stewart, Out There Branding’s Queensland Strategic Partner, met Liam Green the founder of Coastal Maintenance Group in July 2020, as Liam was rebranding the business. OTB engaged with the CMG whilst the new logo was being developed.
CMG was born in 2018 when Liam, who had moved to the Gold Coast from Melbourne as a qualified carpenter, saw a gap in the market for the jobs that many trades turn down. CMG promotes themselves as a network of qualified tradespeople and handypersons to get the job’s done that others couldn’t be bothered handling.
Liam and the company’s reputation had always been strong, but with the rebranding came a revisit to the business plan and marketing strategy, and that’s where OTB came in. Fundamentally, the goal was to increase awareness of the business in the private and commercial sectors, and get Coastal Management Group ‘out there’.
Armed with the new logo, came a new look for the team, OTB produced branded polo shirts as the new uniform to encourage a team mentality, and promote a professional appearance on the job.
A key factor of the new strategy was presence at a tradeshow with the new look. Stewart and OTB helped with everything they needed. The tradeshow booth was dressed up with a double-sided branded designed SPUDS wall and professional table covers. The OTB digital media team created a fantastic digital video promoting Coastal Management Group’s work that ran on a loop throughout the event, which served to enhance the conversations with new customers about what CMG could offer.
The professional setup was supported by the creation of some giveaways for attendants of the event in the form of Coastal Management Group branded fridge magnets, drink coolers and tote bags – reusable and functional products that are aimed at keeping the brand in the mind of potential customers.
The new strategy and branding is working, CMG has experienced considerable growth in the last 12 months despite Covid-19 interruptions. It’s only the first phase of the project between Coastal Management Group and Out There Branding; OTB is working with CMG moving ahead to attract more traction in the market.
